Sustainability.

Climb higher, tread lighter.

Our Products.

At SecondSends, we believe every hold, tool, and training session can be part of the solution, not the problem. Climbing teaches us to respect the rock, the air, and the spaces we move through. That respect extends to how we make, pack, and send every product.

Verdedge.

Our climbing tools are crafted from 100% recycled plastic (rPETG) material saved from landfill and given a second send. By turning waste into gear, we cut down on virgin plastic production, reduce emissions, and keep our environmental footprint small.

  • Recycled Materials – Every gram has a past life, from bottles to training boards.

  • Built to Last – Durable enough for years of sessions, reducing throwaway culture.

  • Made for Repair, Not Landfill – If something breaks, we’d rather help fix it than see it tossed.

Included Rope.

Every training tool comes with a 6 mm Recycled Polyester Cord made entirely from post-consumer PET bottles. This rope, known as rPET has the same strength, durability, and abrasion resistance as regular polyester but with a fraction of the environmental cost.

  • 100% Recycled – Made from plastic bottles saved from landfill.

  • Built for Strength – High UV resistance, minimal stretch, and retains strength even when wet.

  • Planet-Friendly – Recyclable at end-of-life and produced with lower energy use than virgin polyester.

It’s proof that performance gear and sustainability can tie together perfectly.

Our Packaging.

We keep things simple:

  • 99.9% Recycled Cardboard – Strong enough to survive the post, gentle enough on the planet.

  • Recyclable & Compostable – Every box, every wrap.

  • Minimal Ink, Maximum Impact – Small, discreet branding means your packaging can be reused before it’s recycled.

  • Responsible Disposal – Instructions printed right on the back.

  • Every box used, plants a tree

  • We ship our boxes with Hex Wrap, which is also recyclable and compostable.

Production & Waste

We keep our print runs tight to avoid overproduction. Failed or test prints don’t go in the bin, they’re sent away and recycled into new filament whenever possible. Any waste that can’t be reused is sorted for proper recycling.

Our Promise.

We’re not perfect, sustainability is a climb, not a summit. But every decision we make is weighed against its impact. From the materials we choose to the way we ship, our aim is simple: give you the best climbing gear possible without costing the earth.

Every climb leaves a mark, but we believe it shouldn’t cost the earth. From the materials we choose to the way we ship, we’re committed to keeping our footprint small so you can keep reaching for bigger heights.
